A bearing material comprises a fabric contg. filaments of low-friction material, esp. PTFE or other fluorocarbons, and filaments of material with a high elastic modulus, esp. carbon fibres. In a prefd. arrangement, these filaments are in the warp, the weft being of glass-fibres.
