PURPOSE:To easily post an electronic mail and to improve an availability by displaying a retrieved facsimile number when the facsimile number of the post office of an opponent is not found and the desire to retrieve the facsimile number is inputted to a control means. CONSTITUTION:When a fax (FAX) key of a keyboard 4 is pushed, it is inputted to a control part 13, and a user does not know a FAX number and pushes a FAX number inquiring key is pushed, a FAX number retrieving is executed. At a display part 3, an office number code classified by prefectures is successively displayed and a desired opponent station is found. When an opponent station code is pushed by ten keys, the number of the post office classified by municipalities is successively displayed at the display part 3 and a user inputs an opponent station FAX number. Continuously, when a basic charge is inserted, an original inserting port door 17 is opened and an inserting direction display lamp 9 is flickered. The original is set to the inserting port, a FAX reading unit is read, the original is stored into a memory 14 and the original is returned. For two sheets or above of the original, the same processing is repeated, a completing key is pushed, and then, a total amount claimed is displayed.
