The invention relates to a method for forming fusible metals. For this purpose, use is made of a screw-type injection moulding machine for plastics, the hopper of which is filled with metal granules, and the screw speed and heating in the heating tube are suitably adapted and the melted metal collected in the tip of the screw tube. By displacing the screw as a piston, the molten metal is forced into the die. The material used for the screw and the screw tube are adapted to the metal concerned.
