PURPOSE:To easily obtain a highly accurate reference data particularly by means of a polygonal window and to improve the processing efficiency and the accuracy by forming the polygonal window by using the lithographic function of a cathode-ray tube controller. CONSTITUTION:A window point designating device 17, a parameter setter 18, and a learning window memory 19 are added to a conventional visual sensor. This means that a window (learning window) for designating a reference object whose mask function works only at the time of learning and is completely different from a window for limitation, is provided. Further, this learning window is made a closed curve (polygonal window) 20 which is actually in a polygonal shape by optionally designating the longitudinal direction of a line so that many of them surround the reference object. This polygonal window is formed by using the straight-line-drawing function of the cathode-ray tube controller 26. Thus generated learning window in used in mask-processing a picture element data, and consequently, the accuracy of a reference data obtained by extracting the feature of an image can be improved. |
