PURPOSE:To reduce running cost by making it possible to use a thermal transfer ink film using a general base film, by mounting the thermal transfer ink film arranged so that a base film side is engaged with a metal conductive layer and a thermal transfer ink layer side is engaged with recording paper and successively sent ahead corresponding to thermal transfer recording. CONSTITUTION:When pulse voltage is selectively applied to a recording electrode 24 corresponding to a recording signal, a recording current flows from the recording electrode 24 to the metal conductive layer 21b of an endless film sheet 21 and a resistance layer 21a locally generates heat and the heat-meltable ink layer 21b of the thermal transfer ink layer 21b of the thermal transfer ink sheet 25 in contact with said heat generated part is heated through the metal conductive layer 21b of the endless film sheet 21 and the base film 25a of the thermal transfer ink sheet 25 and melted. The molten ink is adhered to recording paper 26 and pressed by a transfer roller 27 and released from the thermal transfer ink sheet 25 to be perfectly transferred to the recording paper 26 to perform recording. |
