A hydrostatic component comprises a pallet carrier (1) and a track carrier (2). The pallet carrier has receivers (21) in which pallets (29) slide, flexibly pressed against a guide track (11) on the track carrier determining the working chambers. A number of chambers (25) in a ring is arranged at the back of the pallet carrier opposite a support flange; they are hydraulically connected with the jet stream and their total area is greater than the cross-sectional area of this jet stream. The result is an axial stressing of the pallet carrier against the track carrier. <IMAGE>
