The baseplate for furniture hinges consists of a lower part as a mounting plate and of an upper part as a slide for receiving part of the hinge, in which baseplate the slide is adjustable in the transverse direction relative to the mounting plate for adjusting the height of the hinge and is lockable by means of a clamping screw. The clamping screw (13) is arranged in the longitudinal mid-axis of the mounting plate (2). The slide (3) engages together with the mounting plate (2) by means of undercuts (9, 18; 11, 20), and the transverse displacement of the guide parts (17, 18) in both directions is limited. <IMAGE>
