PURPOSE:To give enough interchangeability even to various head shapes by moving a shutter in parallel with the direction of loading/unloading to/from the deck body and providing an aperture section on the front half side of the cartridge again in the direction against the loading direction. CONSTITUTION:The moving direction 15 for the shutter 5 of a disk cartridge is the same as the direction 16 of loading/unloading of the deck body, and the aperture 4 for head scanning is provided on the front half area of the cartridge as from the disk turning center toward the direction of loading, again in the same expression. In this way, the aperture for head scanning can be as large as enough, thus giving a greater degree of free designing for new developments of head or traverse input as well as interchangeable disk cartridges good enough to be realized for various head shapes or traverse methods.
