Parking clock in a vehicle to determine and display parking time. Zones or multi-storey car parks can be selected in the device, and are displayed according to assignment and tariff. They are accumulated in the selected memory, and simultaneously subtracted from the total memory, until the rented time is used up. The parking clock is equipped with a data interface, for settlement and to load the rented time via a programming device. Using this device, the data of the parking clock are stored cumulatively. Invoicing is done automatically and as assigned, via a display and printer, stating the parking time and amount.
