The invention relates to an apparatus for trimming tree branches and the like, in the case of which the cutting apparatus is arranged on a bar-shaped carrier and can be actuated by means of a pulling cable. The aim of the invention is, by simple means, to be able to move the cutting apparatus, irrespective of the position of the branches, into the optimum cutting plane, with convenient positioning of its retaining carrier for the user, and it is further the aim of the invention to ensure that, irrespective of the position of the cutting apparatus with respect to the user, the pulling cable can always be gripped reliably by the user. The invention proposes, by means of a pivoting device, to retain the cutting apparatus on the carrier such that it can pivot into different cutting planes, and to guide the pulling cable on the carrier (Figure 1a). <IMAGE> |
