<p>1299084 Effluent distributors SIMON-HARTLEY Ltd 16 June 1970 [18 July 1969] 36326/69 Heading B2F In an effluent distributor wherein fluid is fed onto the upper surface of a rectangular filter bed from a member reciprocating above the bed, a plurality of rows of orifices for feeding the fluid onto the bed is provided, the rows being at different heights. As shown, a trough 10 reciprocates above the bed, running on rails T and drawn by ropes 12. The trough has rows of orifices 15a and 15b in its opposite sides, row 15b being above 15a (see also Fig. 2 not shown). Effluent enters the trough via one or both of siphons 13, 14 which draw effluent from tank C extending the length of one side of the bed. The siphons discharge into tanks 16, 17 which are provided with weirs 18, 19 over which the effluent flows into the trough.</p> |
