PURPOSE:To permit image recording by a low output light source by projecting light to thin laminated films consisting of a phthalocyanine layer, barrier layer and liqand material layer so that the optical state thereof is changed by the complex formation between the phthalocyanine and ligand material. CONSTITUTION:The thin laminated films consisting of the phthalocyanine layer 2, the barrier layer 3 and the ligand material layer 4 are formed on a substrate 1 and the light is projected thereto melt the barrier layer 3 and to form the complex between the phthalocyanine and the ligand material, by which the optical state is changed and the recording is executed. Metal phthalocyanine which can form the complex with the ligand, for example, iron phthalocyanice, is preferable as the layer 2. The layer 4 may be a compd. having a lone pair of N, S, O, P, etc., for example, a thin film of 1.2 bis(diphenyl phosphino)ethane is preferable. A thin film of stearic acid is preferable as the layer 3. Recording is possible with the thin laminated films constituted in such a manner even if the output of the light source is small. Since the splashing of sublimated matter does not arise, there is no need for providing an antisplashing layer and the constitution of the recording layer is simplified. |
