PURPOSE:To improve reliability with high sensitivity and without aging deterioration by using at least one kind of specific compound as a color developing agent and also at least one kind of specific compound as leuco dye. CONSTITUTION:In a thermosensitive recording material wherein color development reaction between leuco dye and a color developing agent is used, at least one kind of compound is used as a color developing agent as shown by the formula I. This recording material is highly sensitive and almost free from texture fog, and besides, it shows almost no color fading of a recording image due to aging change, or temperature or humidity, or almost no discoloration due to fingerprint or oils. In addition, if the compound shown by the formula II is used as leuco dye, the above-mentioned effect can be further improved. The color developing agent used is for instance, bis(3-chloro-4-hydroxyphenyl) methyl acetate. The leuco dye used is for instance, 2(o-chloroaniline)-6- diethylaminofluoran. The recording material is manufactured by applying and drying, for instance, a solution for thermosensitive layer formation containing each component on a support such as paper, synthetic paper or plastic film. |
