PURPOSE:To eliminate an adjustment and a mechanical change and to improve a jumping accuracy by providing a jumping marker setting area adjoining to an original setting area and reading a jumping marker with the same sensor as the correspondence to an original and the reading of the original. CONSTITUTION:At the time of starting the communication, an optical stand 1 proceeds in an arrow 100 direction while an original reading area 8 and a jumping marker reading area 9 are simultaneously read. When a reading starting marker 10 is read, a reading starting marker signal is outputted and the reading is started from a starting line instructed by a reading starting pointer 13. Further, a reading is proceeded, next, a reading completing marker 11 is read, a reading completing marker signal is outputted and up to the reading completing instructed by a reading completing pointer 14, the reading of the original is executed. The same operation is repeated and finally, by reading all reading completing markers 12, all reading completing marker signals are outputted. Up to the all reading completing lines instructed by all reading completing pointers 15, an original 4 is read and all actions are completed.
