The slide clasp fastener has two waterproof support tapes (1,2) whose inner edges (1a,2a) are folded under and have the coupling elments (3,4) joined to them. A hook (7) with an axial opening (7a) is fixed near the top of the coupling elements. The cursor core (8a) engages in this when the fastener is closed. Hooks (5,6) fixed to the tape's lower folded edges, engage in the cursor cylindrical part to lock the edges of the tapes together. Each hook has a bevelled part (5a,6a) to give a V-shaped opening when they are locked. USE/ADVANTAGE - The slide clasp fastener is waterproof and is for waterproof garments e.g. diving suits.
