MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To permit formation of a magnetic layer for data protection with one time of a coating stage by using a magnetic coating compd. prepd. by incorporating low- coercive force powder with high-coercive force powder having 2-10 times the difference in the coercive force of the magnetic powder at the ratio equal to or higher than the ratio of the high-coercive force powder. CONSTITUTION:The difference in the coercive force between the magnetic powder having the high coercive force and the magnetic powder having the low coercive force is specified to 2-10 times at the time of forming the magnetic layer of a medium which can record true data and false data. The mixing is executed at the ratio of the low-coercive force powder equal to or higher than the ratio of the high-coercive force powder to prepare the mixed coating composed thereof. The false data is recorded only on a low-coercive force magnetic material if the true data is recorded on such magnetic layer by the magnetic field stronger than the magnetic field of a high-coercive force magnetic material and the false data is recorded thereon by the magnetic field weaker than the magnetic field of the high-coercive force magnetic material and stronger than the magnetic field of the low-coercive force magnetic material. The coating stage of the magnetic layer is, therefore, executed once and the cost of production is reduced.
