摘要 PURPOSE:To produce the title hollow metallic body with extremely less strains by forming an initial electrocast layer sufficiently thin as compared with the thickness of a base material, and then forming an electrocast layer to the expected thickness under the conditions where facial pressure is not practically exerted on the base material. CONSTITUTION:Plural cylindrical base materials made of copper, etc., are alternately and coaxially placed upon another, and the outer face is electrocast with copper, etc., while exerting sufficient facial pressure in the direction parallel to the center axis. In this case, the initial electrocast layer 3 is formed in about 200mum thickness sufficient for preventing the infiltration of an electrolyte into the gap between the base materials. At this stage, the facial pressure is released or reduced, and the electrocast layer 4 is formed in the desired thickness without exerting the facial pressure or while exerting extremely low facial pressure. Since the greater part of the electrocast layer is formed while the base material is not practically strained, the deformation due to the disturbance in the stress relief of the base material by the electrocast layer is almost eliminated, and a hollow metallic body with extremely less strains can be produced.
