PURPOSE:To enhance heat resistance, by constituting the title electrode of a seal for sealing the first hollow pipe and preventing the leakage of an internal solution to the outside and the second hollow pipe for covering a stem. CONSTITUTION:The ion selective responsive film 2 fitted to a hollow pipe 1 so as to seal one end thereof is immersed in a high temp. liquid to be examined to measure the concn. of the specific ion in the liquid 9 to be examined. In this case, the internal solution 3 and air 10 of the hollow pipe 1 expand by heating and, when the internal pressure of the hollow pipe 1 rises to reach the friction force between a seal 5 and a stem 6 or more, the stem 6 integrated with an electrode 4 rises and the air in a cavity 11 is discharged to the outside from a hole 8 to suppress the rising in the internal pressure of the hollow pipe 1. When the temp. of the liquid 9 to be examined is further high, the stem 6 further rises and the projection 12 provided to the lower end of the stem 6 contacts with the projection 13 of the hollow pipe 1 to stop the stem 6. By this mechanism, it is prevented that the stem 6 is separated from the hollow pipe 1 and the internal solution is released from the sealed state to change. By this method heat resistance can be enhanced.
