PURPOSE:To obtain superior characteristics, such as high sensitivity and small rise in residual potential at low cost by using a resol type phenol resin cylinder as a substrate. CONSTITUTION:The cylinder of resol type phenol resin is used as a substrate. Trouble occurring in using the phenol type resin as the substrate is the ammonia produced from the substrate, and the smaller the ammonia production, the better the characteristics. Since the resol type phenol resin is a material not producing ammonia, this is used for the substrate of the electrophotographic sensitive body, thus permitting the photosensitive characteristics, such as high sensitivity and small rise in residual potential to be obtained. |
