PURPOSE:To easily replace a tool and carry out the grinding, polishing, or cutting work easily and safely by raising and lowering the ball of a coupler. CONSTITUTION:When a tool is to be held, a driving source 10 and a coupler 22 lower, and a coupler 22 and a socket 29 are fitted, in the state where a flange 24 is in the rising position, and a ball 20 is pushed out and set into the groove on the socket 29. When the tool is to be lifted up, the flange 24 is pushed down by an auxiliary ball 32, and the coupler 22 is lowered. Since the escape way for the ball 20 is blocked by a clamp 21, the tool is prevented from falling. When the tool is to be demounted, the tool is lowered, and the flange 24 is lifted up by the auxiliary ball 32, and then the coupler 22 is pulled up. Thus, the ball 20 is released from the groove on the socket 29 and set into a ball hole 30, and the coupler 22 and the socket 29 are released. |
