This invention refers to a device for coupling and is an apparatus in between window frames for coupling and keeping open windows, especially for a ventilation window opening inwards. The apparatus includes a guide rail (3) fixed to the first frame whose guide groove (5) has a slider (6), and a coupling piece (4) attached to the second frame, which is meant to be coupled to the slider (4) for coupling the frames together. In order to achieve a reliable and easy way to use the coupling and a device for keeping windows open, also suitable for small frame, as well as distancing the coupling piece (4) a lever spindle is connected to the second frame, whose slider (6) end, and respectively the slider (4), have coupling devices (7, 9) that fit together and lock together using lever spindles (4) in an essentially 90 degrees turning motion. Conveniently located at the end of the slider (6) that protrudes from the guide (3) groove (5) is a threaded adjustment and locking screw (12) for adjusting or locking the slider and simultaneously the whole window assembly into the desired position.<IMAGE>
