SOLID-STATE IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE

PURPOSE:To eliminate a fixed pattern noise of an amplification type solid-state image pickup element due to the variance of a gain of an individual amplifier element by varying the negative feedback quantity of a negative feedback circuit proportional to the gain of the individual amplifier element. CONSTITUTION:Only one field effect transistor (FET) 1 of voltage control type acting like a negative feedback circuit is added to an amplifier type solid-state image pickup element as shown in figure (a) after passing through an Y address switch. A potential change from photo diodes 2 arranged in 2-dimension is amplified by the individual amplifier elements 3 of each picture element, and a signal of a picture element designated by an X register 4 and a Y register 5 is read. A source resistor 1 whose resistance is varied is added to the source of a field effect transistor (FET) of the individual amplifier element 3 of each picture element of the image pickup element 6 surrounded by dotted lines to constitute a negative feedback circuit. Other FET acting like a voltage controlled resistive element is used for the source resistor 1 and the gate voltage applied to the gate is varied for each picture element.
