PURPOSE:To discharge polishing liquid sucked into a fluid passage, by changing over a selector valve so as to communicate the fluid passage with the pressure fluid source when the absorption of the lens having being completely polished is released in order to deliver the lens to a shifting means after a holder support section is raised while the lens is absorbed. CONSTITUTION:During polishing, a lens 1 is held oscillatably to a lens holder 3, and is pressed against a rotary polishing pan 2 by means of a pressing pin 14 so as to be polished. During this period, a selector valve 21 is communicated with a pressure fluid source 23 and therefore, pressure fluid containing mist water is jetted from a through-hole 8a in a seal member 8 so as to discharge polishing liquid sucked into a fluid passage 12 and a communication pipe 11. After completion of polishing, a holder support part 4 is raised to communicate a passage 10 in the lens holder 3 with the fluid passage 12, and simultaneously, the solenoid passage 21 is changed over to a vacuum passage 22 to suck up and hold the lens 1 in order to raise the lens 1 up to a predetermined height at which the lens 1 is shifted to a lens shifting device. During this period the selector valve 21 is again changed over to the pressure fluid source 23 to release the absorption and to discharge polishing liquid sucked into the fluid passage 12 and the passage 10. Thus, it is possible to eliminate occurrence of a miss in absorption. |
