发明名称 METHOD FOR EMBEDDING FINE PARTICLES INTO WORK SURFACE
摘要 PURPOSE:To embed fine particles sprayed on the surface of a work consisting of a superplastic material into the work surface with exact projection height without disintegrating the works even if the particles are brittle by embedding the above- mentioned particles into the work surface by a mold heated to a superplasticity development temp. CONSTITUTION:After the fine particles consisting of ceramics or the like of uniform grain sizes are uniformly dispersed atop the work 1 consisting of the superplastic alloy, the work 1 with the fine particle stuck surface faced upward is imposed on a lower mold 3. The fine particles 3 are then nearly perpendicularly pressurized from above at the prescribed initial strain speed (v) at which the alloy exhibits superplastic performance by means of an upper mold 4 heated to the temp. within the superplasticity development temp. region of said alloy. As a result, the front surface of the work 1 is heated to the superplasticity development temp. region by the heat transmission and radiation effect from the mold 4 by which the superplastic flowability is imparted to the surface and the lower half part of the pressurized fine particles 2 is press-fitted atop the work 1. The lowering of the mold 4 is stopped when the prescribed load P is attained and in this state the particles 2 are securely fixed into the work 1 in a manner as to enclose the lower half of the particles 2 so that the projection height (h) of the particles 2 attains a desired value.
