PURPOSE:To readily obtain the titled molded article having excellent mechanical properties at ordinary and low temperatures as well as improved surface external appearance, by blending specific components, e.g. an omega-lactam, polymerization catalyst, etc., injecting or pouring the blend into a mold at a temperature above the melting point of the omega-lactam and molding the resultant blend. CONSTITUTION:A polymerization catalyst, e.g. an alkali metal, etc., is added to an omega-lactam and heated above the melting point of the omega-lactam to give a meltlike material. A polymerization cocatalyst, e.g. toluene diisocyanate, etc., is added to the omega-lactam and heated above the melting point of the omega- lactam. An aliphatic polyamide, soluble in the omega-lactam in the molten state and prepared by blending and dispersing a modified polyolefin is added to either one or both of the meltlike materials. Both are then blended and injected or poured into a mold and molded to provide the aimed molded article suitable as automotive parts, etc. Furthermore, the above-mentioned aliphatic polyamide is preferably a copolymer of three or more compounds of aliphatic dicarboxylic acids, aliphatic diamines, aminocarboxylic acids and lactams.
