PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition, having excellent impact as well as solvent resistance and suitable as automotive parts, e.g. bumper, etc., by blending a polyphenylene ether and polyester resin with a specific modified resin capable of improving compatibility of both resins. CONSTITUTION:A composition obtained by blending 100pts.wt. total of (A) 80-40wt% polyphenylene ether having 0.15-0.7 intrinsic viscosity, e.g. poly(2,6- dimethyl-1,4-phenylene) ether, etc., and (B) 20-60wt% polyester resin having 0.30-1.50 intrinsic viscosity with (C) 5-50pts.wt., preferably 10-30pts.wt. modified resin prepared by graft polymerizing 0.1-10wt% epoxy-containing vinyl monomer, e.g. glycidyl methacrylate, etc., in a hydrogenated block copolymer, consisting of vinyl aromatic compound polymer blocks and conjugated diene polymer blocks and having 30,100-30cP viscosity of a solution in toluene.
