PURPOSE:To obtain a filter which is capable of nearly completely washing in a short time while highly maintaining removal capacity of a foreign material and has prolonged service life by passing a soln. in the direction vertical to the shafts of a plurality of pieces of filter members which are made to a cylindrical shape and provided concentrically and detachably. CONSTITUTION:A soln. filter 1 is provided with both filter members 2-7 which are made to a cylindrical shape, provided concentrically and detachably respectively and made of a wire gauze and a couple of pipe seats 8 for fixing both end parts thereof. The average diameter of the mesh size of the filter members 2-7 is continuously made fine toward the inside from the outside. After passing a soln. toward the inside of the filter member 2 from the outside of the filter member 7, this soln. is fed to a lower stage through the hole 9.
