PURPOSE:To automatically transmit a test pattern signal by providing a change over operation switch commonly used with other operation switch in the front surface of a VTR or a remote controller side. CONSTITUTION:When a power source on switch 36 is operated, a system controller 34 supplies a power to the respective parts of the VTR, RS-FF44 is set by a signal line 46 to output a high level signal, and a switch 22 is connected to a test pattern generator side 22a, so that a channel preset adjustment is executed. When the adjustment is completed, the test pattern signal is projected. Then, when a user operates the operation switches 38, 40, 42, the system controller 34 controls the VTR. At that time, a signal is inputted to a reset terminal R and the RS-FF44 outputs a low level signal, the switch 22 is connected to a 22b side and the reproduced picture of the VTR or a tuner channel selection picture is projected on a receiver.
