PURPOSE:To enable heat rays to be projected in a desired direction and area in accordance with the object to be heated by providing a reflecting surface which can modulate the angle and/or concentration of the heat rays from a far infrared etc., heat source device. CONSTITUTION:The device comprises a heat ray radiating device 4 which has an infrared ray lamp 3 in a cylindrical body 2 which is open at the top and stands upright on its base 1, an arm 5 fitted to the cylindrical body 2 and a disc-like heat rays reflecting mirror 7 rotatably supported by a frame 6 mounted to the arm 5. One side 8 of the mirror unit is flat, and the other side 9 is a concave mirror. The arm 5 supports the mirror 7 in such a manner that the center of the mirror 7 is aligned with the axis of the lamp 3, and the arm 5 is rounded outside the cylindrical body 2 so that it may not be heated by the lamp 3 and the rounded part 22 can be used as a grab handle. Since the mirror 7 can rotate on an axis 20 to allow either the flat or concave mirror to be used, heat rays 23 from the lamp 3 can be projected in various directions and areas.
