PURPOSE:To rapidly and easily print temporary printed matter, by a method wherein a printing control means neglects a printing code even when the printing code is present in the document, when the instruction to neglect the printing stop code is given by an instruction means, to print the document. CONSTITUTION:When a read character is a printing stop code, it is investigated whether main printing processing is started by either one of a printing key 33a and a temporary printing key 33b. When said printing processing is started by the printing key 33a, the processing of a printing stop code is performed. When the printing processing is started by the temporary printing key 33b, it is investigated whether this printing stop code is the printing stop code instructed to be neglected by the menu before printing processing and, when it is the printing stop code indicated to be neglected, nothing is done and, when it is not the printing stop code indicated to be neglected, the processing of the printing stop code is performed. Printing wherein the printing stop code may be neglected such as temporary printing is performed rapidly and easily. Therefore, a worker can perform document investigation work in an extremely easy and rapid manner.
