PURPOSE:To retain a sheet securely without such troubles as sag, burrs and dropping of the end of the sheet by providing an adsorption section in accordance with the angle of slope at the end of a sheet-shaped material on the drum face of a band molding drum. CONSTITUTION:The end side of an end section W1 of a sheet-shaped material W, cut with a given angle of slope in the width direction, is hung down over a pressure roller 52, movable forward and backward. In said state, the same is pushed on an adsorption section 41 of a band molding drum 1, a chamber on the adsorption portion to which the end of the sheet-shaped material is compressively adhered is connected with a vacuum source to adsorbe its end, and while rotating the band molding drum to the winding side little by little and connecting the adsorption section 41 provided in accordance with the angle of slope on the end side of the sheet-shaped material with the vacuum source, the sloping end of the sheet-shaped material is adsorbed gradually and wound. The band drum is further rotated to the winding side by a given angle, and stopped to effect cutting the given position, and the remaining portion is wound.
