PURPOSE:To obtain a flat frequency characteristic over a wide band by arranging a couple of antenna elements of triangle shape while apexes are opposed together symmetrically and loading an impedance element to a conductor plate connecting both ends of the bottom side of the antenna elements. CONSTITUTION:A couple of triangle-shaped conductor plates in the antenna elements 11, 12 are arranged while the apexes are opposed to each other symmetrically and the apexes are used as feeding points. Conductor plates 13-16 connect ends of the elements 11, 12, that is, the same sides at both ends of the bottom side. The impedance element, that is, a resistor ZL is loaded to the conductor plates 13, 14 and 15, 16. A current reaching the ends of the elements 11, 12 is led to the element ZL via the conductor plates and converted into a heat energy in the resistance loading traveling wave antenna. Thus, the reflection from the ends of the elements 11, 12 is eliminated and the frequency characteristic is made flat over a broad band.
