<p>PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy in measuring a deformation resistance by providing a pair of auxiliary rolls at the opposite side of a rolled plate for the roll for leveler and performing a press by conforming the curvatures of a rolled plate and leveler roll. CONSTITUTION:A pair of auxiliary rolls 21, 22 are arranged at the opposite side of a rolled roll 4 for the roll 1 composing a leveler. In this case the two straight lines 26, 27 connecting the centers 23, 24 of the auxiliary rolls 21 and 22 and the center 25 of the roll 1 are both made to intersect at right angles respectively with the tangent lines 28, 29 of the upper part of the rollers 5, 6 for measurement and the lower part of the roll 1. Since the plate 4 is pressed to the roll 1 by the rolls 21, 22 the radius of curvature of the plate 4 becomes almost equal to the radius R of the roll 1. Consequently the generation of a plastic deformation is eliminated on the plate 4, so the accuracy in measuring the deformation resistance of the plate 4 is improved.</p> |
