PURPOSE:To enhance printing density and printing sharpness, by constituting the ink of the ink ribbon for an impact printer of water droplet in oil type emulsion ink. CONSTITUTION:Water droplet in oil type emulsion ink is used as the ink of the ink ribbon 1 for an impact printer. As synthetic resin base cloth, conventionally known one is used as it is. For example, a composition consisting of a surfactant, carbon black, vegetable oil and mineral oil is dispersed along with glass beads for one hr by a sand mill and the resulting dispersion is emulsified with water by an emulsifier to prepare ink. This ink is applied to the base cloth by a roll coater to form the ink ribbon 1 for the impact printer. Since the ink ribbon for the impact printer uses the water droplet in oil type emulsion ink, said ribbon has extremely excellent effect such that sharp printing can be obtained by increasing printing density and printing sharpness. |
