PURPOSE:To attain the charging call to a 2-wire type slave set such as a pinc public telephone set or the like by referencing a storage setting means so as to discriminate whether or not a charging type telephone set is connected, thereby controlling the sending of the charging signal. CONSTITUTION:When the 2-wire type telephone set 6 being a slave set such as a pinc public telephone set is connected, the main control circuit 102 of a master set 1 uses a dial number as an address to reference the built-in storage setting means to decide the connection of the charging telephone set. Based on the output of the circuit 102 attended with the decision, the relay of a charging unit 107 is controlled, and the charging signal attracting circuit brought into the operating state to a conventional telephone set is inactivated. Thus, a periodic charging signal from a station detection circuit 106 is sent to a telephone set 6. As a result, even when the charging signal attracting circuit excluding a noise signal during talking is provided, the charging talking to the 2-wire slave set such as a pinc public telephone set is attained without any hindrance.
