Bi-metal spacers for a fuel element bundle in nuclear reactors comprise support elements (1,2) and spring-elements (3), forming a grid to contain nuclear fuel rods. Outer support elements (1) define a square frame surrounding inner support elements (2). The transversely arranged spring elements (3) are located at different heights relative to one another in support elements (1,2). Outer- and inner support elements (1,2) consist of a strip-shaped material. Spring elements (3) consist of a nickel alloy, whilst the support elements (1,2) are made of a zirconium alloy. The support element (1) connects to the spring element (3) via recesses (9) in support element (1,2), receiving ends (16) of the spring elements. |
