PURPOSE:To finely cut a welding node and to shape it by finishing it in round and smooth face by holding a chain ring by fitting it to a holding base, holding a welding node part side by fitting it into a part of block body recessed grooves and turning the welding node part inside the recessed groove by rocking. CONSTITUTION:The straight part of a chain ring A is held by fitting it to the work position of a holding base 3, a pair of block bodies 5 are advanced and the welding node B of the chain ring A and its both side parts are held by fitting them into the recessed groove of the block body 5. At this time, one part of the welding node B is squeezed and a cut is pinched in a burr shape between the recessed grooves 16. The welding node B is rotated inside the recessed groove 6 by rocking the holding base 3 in this state. A burr like cut chip is thus peeled off, the welding node B part crushed inside the recessed groove 6 is simultaneously slided under storing pressure on the inner face of the recessed groove 6, and the whole periphery of the welding node B part is finished in a round smooth face. This method may be applied advantageously for the chain of Al (alloy), etc.
