PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in the characteristic of a piezoelectric resonator element due to heat at bonding effectively by bonding the lead terminal to a metallic cap at a part of a 2nd face apart from a 1st face on the inside of which the piezoelectric resonance element is pressed into contact. CONSTITUTION:The lead terminal 22 is welded to the end face of the metallic cap 16. The 1st face 25 of the metallic cap 16 is parted from the 2nd face comprising an outer end face 26 and a side face 27 by a ring shaped projection 17a. Thus, in welding the lead terminal 22 at the end face 26 at the outside of the ring shaped projection 17a, the applied heat hardly delivers to the piezoelectric resonance element 14 and the thermal deterioration of the piezoelectric resonator 14 is effectively prevented.
