PURPOSE:To prevent rise in the temp. of a combustor, etc. and avert danger by providing a temp. sensor and operating a heating blower when a temp. detected at the time of stopping operation is high, in the captioned device having a heat exchanger for recovering heat from said combustor. CONSTITUTION:A heating burner 4 and a heat exchanger 5 are provided in the middle of pipe part from a combustion blower 2 to an intake pipe 3. And, new air taken in from an intake port 11 is heat exchanged with a combustion gas from the heating burner 4 by the heat exchanger 5, and blown out of a blow-out port 12 into a vehicle chamber as a warm air by means of a heating blower 13. In this case when an engine is stopped with a key being pulled off, it is judged whether the outputs of an overheat sensor 32, a temp. sensor 33, and a heating sensor 34 are within a prescribed value by a controller 19 and, when judged no, the combustion blower 2 is operated. When the judgment is still no even after a prescribed time elapse, the heating blower 13 is operated to cool down the heating device.
