PURPOSE:To miniaturize an ultrasonic motor by bringing an elastic body or a moving body into pressure-contact with other members by the restoring force of the elastic body or moving body itself. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic motor 30 is constituted of a cylindrical stator (an elastic body) 31, electrostrictive elements 33 stuck onto the inner circumferential surface of the stator and a rotor (a moving body) 32 fitted stuck fast to the outer circumferential surface of the stator 31. The rotor 32 is formed by a shape memory alloy at that time. A shape is memorized in the inside diameter D slightly smaller than the outside diameter (d) of the stator 31, external force is applied under conditions of a transformation temperature or less, the inside diameter D is deformed up to a diameter slightly larger than the outside diameter (d) of the stator 31 by plastic deformation exceeding a yield point, and the rotor 32 is incorporated into the stator 31 under the state. The rotor 32 is heated up to the temperature or more of a transformation point, thus applying applied pressure between the stator 31 and the rotor 32 by the restoring stress of the rotor 32. |
