PURPOSE:To facilitate corrections on the direction of progress in a sloping area by allowing a steering device to take a slow turn through operating only one side of the right and left travelling devices when the lateral inclination of a travelling car body is small, and then allowing it to take a steep turn through operating the right and left travelling devices in the directions opposite to each other when said lateral inclination is large. CONSTITUTION:A travelling device 2 is operated by means of a continuously variable transmission 3 which is comprised of a variable delivery type hydraulic pump 20 directly connected with a hydraulic motor 19. On a steering lever 21 is provided a potentiometer 22 for detecting the oscillating position of the lever 21, and then, the device is constituted in such a manner that, by an amount in which the steering lever 21 is turned, the swash plate angle of the hydraulic pump 20 is displaced in an amount equal to said amount. When the lateral inclination of a car body is detected by a sensor 16 and the detected value is inputted to a control unit 24, the swash plates of the right and left hydraulic pumps 20, 20 are controlled according to the state in which a lever 4 is operated so that a turning state corresponding to the sloping land can be taken by means of a potentiometer 23.
