PURPOSE:To facilitate the retraction of a spike at the time of traveling on a non-frozen road and prevent dust pollution by connecting said spike which is embedded under the tread face of tire to an operated part and operating said operated part via an operating member to project and retract said spike. CONSTITUTION:Each of a number of spikes 2 which are embedded under the tread face of a snow tire 7 is normally held in a position in which the spike 2 is not projected out of the traveling face of the tire 7 by means of a spring 4 and via a bendalbe and flexible connecting metal fitting 3. Also, an operated lever 5 is rotatably supported by the end part on the opposite side to the spike 2 installing side end part of the metal fitting 3 being positioned on the outer part of tire, and a operated roller 8 is provided on he end part of the level 5. And, when the operated roller 8 is retained by a power device 12 of hydraulic pressure or magnet, etc. due to an external, the spike 2 is projected out of the tread face against the spring 4 and via a pin 10 and the connecting metal fittings 3, to function as an antiskid member.
