PURPOSE:To display the capacity of an on-automobile storage battery continuously during the traveling of an automobile by storing a peak charging voltage generated between the terminals of the storage battery for a specific time and displaying the capacity of the storage battery in the form of whether the voltage level is high or not. CONSTITUTION:The terminal voltage across the storage batter at the time of the traveling contains a ripple voltage and the automobile varies in charging current with the engine rotating speed at all times, so a peak voltage is always stored to enable the capacity to be viewed in a stable state. When the peak voltage is generated, a storage capacitor C is charged through a diode Si1. The voltage across this capacitor C is impedance-converted by an operational amplifier OP, etc., and the capacity state of the storage battery is displayed at a display part L. When the battery is discharged, the diode Si2 discharges the storage capacitor C and a resistance R determines the current attenuation constant. Further, ZD enlarges the display.
