PURPOSE:To adjust a shaft input to each reversible pump-turbine and to eliminate the necessity for a spare turbine, by giving prerotation to a water flow, passing through a suction pipe line side of the total water turbines, further changing a guide vane opening of the total reversible pump-turbines when the total reversible pump-turbines are driven in pumping operation. CONSTITUTION:A comparator arithmetic device 10, which inputs a shaft input Pm for pumping operation of the total reversible pump-turbines and an assigned input Po for power system operation, calculates an input difference DELTAP=Po-Pm. When the input difference DELTAP is (+), all the machines are driven in pumping operation by a control instruction device 11. When the difference DELTAP is (-), a comparator 12 compares the actual number of pumping operation sets Nm with the total number of sets Nt, and at least one set is transferred to turbine operation by a control instruction device 13 in case of relation where Nm<Nt. In case of relation where Nm=Nt, if a control instruction device 14 gives prerotation to a water flow, passing through a suction pipe line side of the total reversible pump-turbines, further changes a guide vane opening of the total reversible pump-turbines controlling the machines so as to obtain a relation where DELTAP=0, the necessity for setting a spare machine is eliminated because a power system input control in the time of pumping operation can be regulated in a range of 0-100%. |
