PURPOSE:To incorporate three lift functions in a seat, by journalling a pair of bell cranks to the front and rear of a base frame, by coupling a crank mounted on a control shaft with one swingable end of the bell cranks through the intermediary of a rod. CONSTITUTION:A coupling rod 25 is coupled between a crank pin 21 and a coupling pin 24 provided to a swingable end of a rear bell crank 11. Further bell cranks 11, 12 are associated with the rotation of a spur gear 20. When a control knob is rotated, for example, clockwise from such a position that the spur gear is located at its original position, a cushion frame 5 is at first tilted forward, and then falls in a parallel lift condition. Thereafter, the cushion frame 5 is returned to its original position while it is tilted rearward in association with the rotation of the knob. With this arrangement, the seat lifting function and the longitudinally tilting function may be given to the vehicle seat in addition to the seat reclining function with no complicated mechanism being required.
