NEW MATERIAL:A triazine compound having dye residues, at least one triazo residue of formula I, and at least one substituted phenylamino group of formula II in a molecule. In formula I, X is Cl or R. In formula II, R1 and R2 are each H or lower alkyl; A is phenylene or naphthylene; Z is -SO2CH=CH2 or -SO2CH2 CH2Y (wherein Y is a group that can be eliminated with an alkali). USE:A dye used for dyeing or printing a synthetic or natural polyamide or poly- urethane, particularly in fibrous form, and fibrous materials such as wool and other animal fiber, silk, and leather. This dye has excellent wet color fastness and excellent color fastness to rubbing and ironing. PREPARATION:An objective compound is obtained by the reaction of a dye capable of giving triazine residues, preferably as anionic dye, with a substituted phenylamine or formula III, and cyanuric chloride or fluoride.
