PURPOSE:To obtain the title molding excellent in weathering resistance and lowly toxic to living organisms, by mixing an olefin resin with an organic pigment and/or a surface-treated inorganic pigment and having a specified free transition metal ion concentration. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution of, e.g., sodium silicate or potassium silicate is added dropwise to a dispersion formed by finely dispersing inorganic pigment (e.g., synthetic iron oxide) in water, and the mixture is agitated to obtain a surface-treated inorganic pigment containing 10-100pts.wt. silicon oxide and/or silicon hydroxide per 100pts.wt. inorganic pigment. a mixture of a polyolefin with an organic pigment (e.g., phthalocyanine green) of a free transition metal ion concentration <=100ppm and/or 0.3-5wt% said surface-treated inorganic pigment is molded to obtain a colored olefin resin molding of a free transition metal ion concentration <=100ppm.
