PURPOSE:To make it possible to smoothly board on a vehicle, by providing a pair of inner and outer engaging surfaces facing each other with a rod-like member therebetween and with a space therebetween which is greater than the movement thereof, and by making the inner engaging surface abut against the rod-like member when a door is locked if no passenger sits on the seat. CONSTITUTION:A pair of engaging surfaces 31a, 31b are normally and reversely moved by a drive means 4. When, for example, the inner engaging surface 31a abuts against a rod-like member 2, a seat cushion S is rotated toward an entrance outward of a vehicle. Meanwhile, when the outer engaging surface 31b abuts against the rod-like member 2, a seat cushion S is rotated toward the front side inward of the vehicle. Further, when an entrance door is locked while no passenger sits on the seat, the drive means 4 moves the engaging surface 31a inside of the vehicle so that the latter abuts against the rod-like member 2. Accordingly, when the entrance door is opened thereafter, the seat cushion S is rotated with no delay, thereby it is possible to smoothly board on the vehicle.
