PURPOSE:To extend a connection terminal equipment or apply maintenance without stopping the entire network function by applying termination setting to an optional connected terminal equipment on a branched type local area network. CONSTITUTION:A control terminal equipment 10 consists of a network processing part, a command processing part and a communication processing part, and a connection terminal 20 consists of a command processing part, a communication processing part and a termination processing part respectively. The termination setting requested from the control terminal equipment to the connection terminal equipment is informed to the network processing part as a command. The network processing part starts the processing relating to the termination setting and the command is sent to the branch type local area network. Thus, the network processing part applies the processing relating to the termination setting to the connection terminal equipment according to the status.
