PURPOSE:To improve thermal efficiency of the rotary machine in the caption by installing a rotating body in a low-pressure side rotating hollow body separated from a high-pressure side rotating hollow body, connecting an actuation chamber to the high-pressure side rotating hollow body by means of a communication port and a switching port, and varying the conditions where a low- pressure switching port is connected to a low-pressure communication port. CONSTITUTION:When a rotating body makes circular motion to a control position, the fluid in a low-pressure passage 17 flows into an actuation chamber 8 through a low-pressure communication port 22, a low-pressure switching port 20, and a low-pressure passage port 18. After the connection of the low-pressure communication port 22 to the low-pressure switching port 20 is interrupted, the fluid in the actuation chamber 8 is expanded and compressed, and discharged into a high-pressure side rotating hollow body 9a when a switching port 10 is connected to a passage port 12. Thus, the power conversion efficiency can be greatly improved by periodically varying the conditions for connecting the low-pressure communication port 22 to the low-pressure switching port 20 while rotating the rotating body 21 in the low-pressure side rotating hollow body 9b.
